Zuud ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our talent platform. By using Zuud, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

From candidates:

  • Name, email, phone, and location
  • Educational background and CV/resume
  • Work experience and skills
  • Language proficiency (including AI-assessed English level)
  • Responses to onboarding questions
  • Optional: video interview recording

From companies:

  • Company name, logo, and website
  • Hiring criteria and role requirements
  • Contact information of your team
  • Interview requests and candidate feedback

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Matching: To score candidates against company criteria using our match engine
  • Reports: To deliver tailor-made shortlists to companies
  • Communication: To notify candidates of interview requests and companies of new matches
  • Improvement: To analyze platform performance and improve our matching algorithm
  • Legal compliance: When required by law or to protect our rights

3. How We Share Information

We share candidate information only with:

  • Companies that receive a curated shortlist containing that candidate
  • Service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Our partner Deel, when you explicitly choose to use them for contracts and payroll

We never sell candidate or company data to third parties. We do not share data with advertisers.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted database storage, HTTPS-only connections, and PIN-protected access to shared reports. Access to our internal systems is restricted to authorized Zuud team members on a need-to-know basis.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data at any time
  • Withdraw consent to be featured in company shortlists
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

6. Cookies and Analytics

Zuud uses essential cookies for authentication and to remember your session. We may use privacy-friendly analytics (like Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate usage patterns — no personal identifiers are tracked.

7. Data Retention

We retain candidate data as long as the account is active. Inactive candidate accounts are anonymized after 24 months. Company data is retained during the contractual relationship and for 7 years thereafter for accounting purposes.

8. International Transfers

Zuud is built to serve Latin America. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States (where our infrastructure is hosted) and other countries where our service providers operate. All transfers are made with appropriate safeguards.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
